Ecstasy has been hitting the headlines again this last week or so, and Fiona has been asked to speak on national TV and radio as well as in print.
It started on Thursday 16 June with an article in the Daily Mail about Dan, Martha Fernback and super-strong ecstasy, with the headline: ‘Why every parent should be terrified about the return of ecstasy’. Two days later the shocking news of the hospitalisation of three 12-year-old girls in Manchester led to a flurry of emails and phonecalls asking Fiona to speak about the issues around young people and ecstasy, and what parents can do to help their children to stay safe. Appearances on ITV’s Good Morning Britain, Channel Five News, Sky News Sunrise with Eamonn Holmes and Radio 4's You and Yours, amongst others, gave the opportunity for Fiona to raise these important issues as well as raise awareness of the Foundation. Most importantly, the girls, though critical to begin with, were soon stable and on the mend.
