Gavin Barwell MP raises funds for the Foundation

29 September 2016

A massive thank you to our MP Gavin Barwell, who is doing a huge sponsored walk round his constituency on 16 October to raise funds for the Foundation! He's inviting anyone to join him, or to donate online Dan knew Gavin's boys from when he used to help out as a teenager with the kids' club at our church that they came along to. Gavin also happened to be speaking at an event at our church two days after Dan died, when the church community was still reeling. He pledged to do this when he came to the premiere of our play in March, and has been true to his word. We really appreciate his support.

He's written some lovely words in his newsletter here: "Daniel was a young constituent of mine who tragically died after taking drugs at a rave. His parents, Tim and Fiona, established the Foundation to try to prevent other families from having to go through the pain of losing a child and to stop the damage done by drugs to young lives. I have the utmost respect for what Tim and Fiona have done and want to do my bit to support them."
